Would you have?

I grabbed my jacket and beanie and went for a walk on this early September evening. The rain was sprinkling in mist and drips as the streetlights blinked on one at a time. Early 2000's pop punk beat through my single earbud, not quite drowning out the sounds of my shoes squeaking on the wet leaves on the pavement. I sang along, matching my pace to the song, until the tip of my nose got cold.

Would you have come with me? Would you have taken the other earbud and sang until the tip of your nose got cold like two college freshmen high on the taste of newfound freedom?

I finished the last two cookies for my book launch bake sale fundraiser. You want some of these brownie bites or peanut butter jam...

About

    D. Lieber has a wanderlust that would make a butterfly envious. When she isn’t planning her next physical adventure, she’s recklessly jumping from one fictional world to another. Her love of reading led her to earn a Bachelor’s in English from Wright State University.

Beyond her skeptic and slightly pessimistic mind, Lieber wants to believe. She has been many places—from Canada to England, France to Italy, Germany to Russia—believing that a better world comes from putting a face on “other.” She is a romantic idealist at heart, always fighting to keep her feet on the ground and her head in the clouds.

Lieber lives in Wisconsin with her husband (John) and cats (Yin and Nox).

It's tough keeping track of everything that's going on.
